The Insurance Brokers and Agents Association of Sacramento
The Insurance Brokers and Agents Association of Sacramento (IIAB Sacramento) is a voluntary membership organization serving the interests of independent insurance brokers in the Sacramento area. Working together, we are able to build and maintain a business environment that allows individual brokerages — your brokerage — to thrive.
IIAB Sacramento hosts quarterly luncheons along with several community events and networking opportunities throughout the year. Our biggest event of the year is our annual Big I Day in October. This event hosts almost 1,000 insurance professionals from the area, provides educational seminars and includes lunch with a dynamic keynote speaker. Our goal is to connect you to other experts in the industry, to provide educational opportunities to help sharpen your professional skills and to provide a platform to support local charities and organizations.
The Insurance Brokers and Agents Association of Sacramento (IIAB Sacramento) is a non-profit professional business association for independent brokers and it is the recognized symbol of excellence within the insurance industry. Membership is strictly voluntary, but is highly recommended in order to offer the highest degree of training, knowledge and service.
The IIAB Sacramento offers continuing education programs and training seminars for its members. To qualify for membership, an insurance broker must first pass a licensing exam as set by the State of California Department of Insurance and are then required to meet all of the IIAB Sacramento’s membership standards. In order to maintain a license and membership, brokers must attend continuing education courses every year.
IIAB Sacramento works alongside the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of California (IIABCal) which represents our members’ interests to government representatives and regulatory bodies, as well as to insurance industry commissions and associations. We strongly encourage membership in both organizations.
